Making today creative.

Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” –Howard Thurman

We have purpose-driven people, churches, ministries, careers, crafts, hobbies, and babies. Yes, purpose-driven baby books are here! And they all come with journals. We are awash in purpose. Books, podcasts, self-help sites – they all encourage us to: a) find our purpose, b) connect with what we were created for, and to c) synch our grids with the wonderful plan God has for us.

I’m not knocking it, really. Intentionality is my favorite word right behind tiramasu and sleep-in (if compound words count.)

After all, if we aim at nothing, we are almost certain to sink the arrow of our lives deep into the middle of nothing (keeping the metaphor pure, of course.) God has created each of us for a purpose, and that purpose is…

To get a life. Really. God puffed your lungs full of hot air so you could live. Now that I have cleared the fog from your purpose-drive mind, brought clarity and focus to your life-direction… I want to tell you about this blog called Creative Evangelism. It’s me sharing how I am learning to live.

Some of what I share may be new to you (and to me.) And some have become defining, or at least clarifying events, attempts, and exploits for my life. The rest I’ve learned along the path of learning ways to make life count for eternity.

I hope you will join me each time you can. Maybe you can even share some of your clarifying and defining experiences that give life to you, too. I’ll enjoy the dialogue.

Until next post – L’chaim!
